2018 Shipley Invitational Tomorrow!

The Moline Boys Track and Field team will be opening up the Outdoor season this Saturday at Browning Field.  The Field events begin at 9:30 and Running events at 10:30.  The weather will be....typical... so come on out and cheer on the Maroon Boys and Girls.

The Boys team went through their final indoor season competitions last week.  They competed in an unscored meet at Illinois State University on 3/3 [RESULTS HERE] and then a Triangular at Sterling on 3/13 [RESULTS HERE].  The annual trip to Monmouth College for the Galesburg Invitational, which was also unscored, was 3/24  [RESULTS HERE]. Their final indoor meet on 3/31 was cancelled but Junior: Fred Henderson 200m, and Senior: Jon Moore High Jump, qualified for the Illinois Prep Top Times Meet at Illinois Wesleyan Univ. on that day.

We expect a very competitive team this season and have very high goals.  Come out and see us anytime!!

IHSA Sectionals at Moline 5/18

Jon Moore qualified for the IHSA State Track and Field meet by clearing 6' 3" in the HJ.  There were many VERY CLOSE misses by others:  Armani Atwater by 0.02 in the 100m and 0.20 in the 200m.  The 4x200 relay ran a season best but fell short by 0.80 seconds and Marcellous Johnson missed the TJ qualifying mark by 5".  This meet was a fantastic conclusion to an exceptional season for the Maroons.  With the bulk of the varsity team returning in 2018, we look forward to continuing this upward trend for Moline Track and Field!

Season Bests:
4x200 Rogers, Williamson, Atwater, Henderson     1:30.11
Tyler King - 19’ 11 ¾  (LJ)

Jon Moore - 6’ 3 (HJ)
Jason Moore - 15.86 (110HH)
