Preseason Meeting Jan. 6th

MOLINE BOYS TRACK 2011

Preseason Conditioning (M-T-W-TH) 3:30 – 5PM @ MHS “Bring Warm Clothing”
Shot Put & Discus Throwers meet at Wharton 3:35

Requirements:            1.   A physical (ASAP)
2.     A parent permission slip (ASAP)
3.     An activity ticket


*Dress in the locker room or E- Wing Rest Room (Leave your valuables in your school locker) Equipment needed, sweats, hat, gloves, running shoes, t-shirt and shorts.  We go outside almost everyday, so be prepared for the weather.
*After dressing you will meet with your event coach.  (Coach Taylor E111, Coach Iles/Larson B152)  Throwers will meet at Wharton Field House.  We may practice indoors  (MHS) due to the bad weather, be respectful to those around you in the halls.  This is a privilege and not a right. 


Our First Official Day of Practice is Tuesday, February 1st at 3:35 @ Wharton 


  1. Dress in the locker room—do not leave valuables in locker—bring your own lock—locker room is not locked, as everybody does not end practice at the same time.
  2. Equipment needed, sweats, hat, gloves, running shoes, t-shirt and shorts.  We go outside almost everyday, so be prepared for the weather.
  3. After dressing we meet in the large room in the basement for attendance, needed information, and for our team warm-up.
  4. You are not to interfere with the boys and girl’s basketball teams practice.  (Stay Away From The Basketball Court)
  5.   THIS WILL BE STRONGLY INFORCED.
  6. We practice everyday of the week except Saturday & Sunday unless the coaches tell you otherwise.  Do not go by what another athlete says; see a coach, No Practice! NO Meets!
  7. If you stay after school to see a teacher, bring a note (pass) from that teacher.  We, the coaches, are at Wharton until 5:30 or 6:00 each night.  Schedule your personal appointments and jobs so that practice is not missed.
  8. You will be dismissed form the team if you have three missed practices that are unexcused.  
  9. Early season practices should be over by 5:00 – 5:30 each day.  Once we get warm weather, practices will last until 6 each night, as we practice individual events and relays.
  10. When the boys and girls are practicing at Wharton do not interfere with the girls practices and respect what they are doing.

  1. We will be hosting several meets at home and you are expected to help us run those meets, if you are not participating in them.  .


If anyone has a problem with anyone or anything, they are to see Mr. Taylor.  I am the head coach and you and I must deal with these situations as they arise.   You can contact me at 737-2597 or 743-8767
